I do believe that a book can be judged by its cover. Knowing this, I went on a hunt to seek out the perfect cover photo for ‘These Americans’ that would accurately represent the book and its theme. Browsing Flickr, I was immediately struck by the work of Chris Harrison. I could not, for whatever reason, track him down by any means. Finally, just a couple of days before submissions were due, he responded to my Facebook Messenger request to use his image for my book cover. All he asks for in return is a copy of the book. This is a super gracious, super talented photographer with whom I also share a lot of interests, including television shows, design, and web development.
